What a week.

From lockdown starting to chaos in America - 2021 is proving that we're not out of the woods yet.

I'm not sure there's been a slow news week since I started in this job.

The scenes in America particularly piqued my interest.

We are politically unbiased at Nub News however I will say that we definitely believe in democracy!

So to see a key process in the world's biggest democracy thrown into utter chaos was truly horrifying.

I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like it and hopefully such an event never occurs again.

From a journalist's point of view I just want to applaud the reporters there in particular.

The coverage from Robert Moore and his team from ITV was outstanding.

They were the only crew to get in the thick of the protestors and cover the storming of the Capitol Building as it happens.

It is truly courageous journalism and shows just how important journalism is in showing us what really goes on in the world.

So whether it is on a global scale covering events in Washington or if it is just a local reporter like me journalism always has a place.
