Obviously yes.

If you pay any attention to basically any media site when it is winter snow is always a hot topic.

Whether it is predicting snow, weather warnings for snow or even just pictures of the snow us journalists are definitely obsessed with the white stuff.

So the question remains - why?

Well in Britain we are obsessed with the weather - The Daily Express have made their name being a weather obsessed paper.

Journalism is meant to reflect and drive the national conversation so weather is always going to be a hot topic.

Snow in particularly generates a lot of views - as a nation we love the stuff - so this also contributes to why we post stories about it.

Speaking from experience it is very irritating when you do a story predicting snow and then none materialises.

When the snow does come down however the pictures are usually spectacular!

So a combination of interest from the public and great pictures means that journalists will always have a fascination with snow.

Safe to say I was disappointed with the lack of proper snow this week!
