A fresh application has been submitted to give a Teddington shop a makeover.

Plans for a new shopfront for Medco on Park Road have been submitted to Richmond Council.

Council planners refused a previous application for the site saying they would "remove the architectural and historic interest" of the building.

The new submissions says it has addressed these concerns.

"This current application responds directly to the concerns which were raised by the local planning authority," the application said.

"This application seeks [to] retain the building form, materials and detailing of the existing shopfront, simply replacing the existing with an identical shopfront. 

"As a result, there would be no adverse design impacts, the proposal would in fact improve the visual amenity of the site."
