Foodies Festival to take place in Brentford over May Bank Holiday weekend

Foodies Festival is taking place in Syon Park in Brentford on 24, 25, and 26 May.

Known as "Gastro-Glastonbury", the three-day festival will feature live cooking demonstrations from TV celebrities and chefs drawn from the ranks of MasterChefGreat British Bake Off, and Great British Menu, as well as many of the region's most-highly acclaimed Michelin and award-winning chefs.

Early bird tickets cost £6 for children and £21 for adults, but children under the age of six can go for free.

Early star announcements in the live theatres include celebrity television personality, Atul Kochhar, MasterChef champions Thomas Frake and Dhruv Baker, and finalist, Anurag Aggarwal.

 Other MasterChef attendees include The Professionals champion, Alex Webb, and 2024 stars, Ritchie Stainsby, Ayesha Kalaji and William Joshua. 

Also joining the lineup is Great British Bake Off 2024 contestant, Hazel Vaughan, Channel 4's Extreme Cake Makers star, Eloise Durrant, TV chef and author, Dipna Anand, Channel 4 bread expert, Jack Sturgess, and TV personality and Sunday Times Best Selling Author, Dale Pinnock

Highly acclaimed regional chefs include:

  • Head Chef, Long Ng, from Michelin starred Taku, Mayfair.
  • Head Chef, Andres Quevedo Sanabria, from 2AA Rosette awarded Rayuela in Ealing.
  • Chef-Patron, Joe Laker, from Michelin recommended Counter 71, Shoreditch.
  • Head Chef, Jack Ward, from Rick Stein, Barnes.
  • Michelin trained Head Chef, Joshua Hunter, from Holland and Holland, Northwood. 

Music headliners include:

  • Multi-platinum selling festival favourites, Scouting For Girls - performing a set full of their many top 40 hits. 
  • The Wanted 2.0 - with founding members Max George and Siva Kaneswaren presenting the next chapter in the history of The Wanted, one of Britain's biggest ever pop bands, achieving over 20 million record sales worldwide and topping the charts multiple times.
  • Pixie Lott - who's notched up three number one hits, secured four Brit nominations and won two MTV EMA awards. Pixie has also judged The Voice Kids and appeared as a guest judge on The X Factor

Pixie Lott said: "Summer festival season, food heaven, music and sunshine - what's not to love!

"It's my first year joining the Foodies Festival tour; I'm so excited to experience the festival and hit London with my band. I love family days out at festivals and this one tick all the boxes!"

Siva Kaneswaren, said: "Max and I are buzzing to be joining the Foodies Festival tour in 10 regions of England, Scotland and Wales!

"It's exciting to be back out performing all The Wanted hits and seeing our lovely fans again.

"We're both big food lovers and have tried some amazing cuisine around the world on our tours - but having it all in one place to try, amazing!"

Visitors will enjoy a jam-packed schedule in the interactive live theatres.

In the Chef's Theatre, celebrities will create their signature dishes and share new tips and tricks, whilst in the Cake & Desserts Theatre, patisserie chefs and star bakers will whip up showstoppers and offer tempting sweet treats. 

In the Kids Cookery School, Foodies' SuperChefs will make cooking fun, helping younger guests to prepare delicious food which they can take away and enjoy. 

Masterclasses in the Drinks Theatre include tutored Champagne, Beer, Cider, Cocktail and Wine-tasting with ITV and BBC drinks experts

Guests can also browse the latest food trends in the Shopping Village, meet local producers in the Artisan Market and taste exotic and unusual new dishes in the Feasting Tent, which features a mouth-watering range of street food and delicacies from all four corners of the globe. 

New features this year include Great Taste Market, courtesy of Great Taste, where people can come together to discover new tastes and celebrate the art of good food.

In the Tasting Theatre,  visitors can explore a variety of themed tastings, from hot and spicy adventures to mystery sweet and savoury pairings.

And in the International Cook School, festival goers can learn new techniques and cook a dish to take away, with lessons from top chefs.

Other activities include flaming hot action at the Fire stage with BBQ masters, Chilli Eating competitions, a Silent Disco, fairground rides, children's activities, and family-friendly areas.
