Food banks and support in Teddington and Hampton over Christmas

Throughout the festive period local organisations and community groups are helping to provide food support across the borough. Learn when and where you can find them.  

Richmond Foodbank 

Richmond Foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups that is working towards stopping hunger in the local area. It is part of the Vineyard Community Centre and operates four foodbank distribution centres in the borough. 

Hampton Foodbank 

YMCA White House, 45 The Avenue, TW12 3RN 

Christmas opening hours: 

Tuesday 26 December - 9.30am to 3:15pm 

Tuesday 2 January - Closed 

Ruils 

Ruils services will close on Friday 22 December from 5pm and will reopen on Tuesday 2 January at 9am. They have collated their annual Christmas holiday resource list for those who need extra support.

The Real Junk Food Project 

The Real Junk Food Project's mission is to take food that was heading for the bin and to turn it into nutritious and tasty lunches for the community.

Linden Hall 

Linden Road, Hampton, TW12 2JG 

Opening hours: 

  • Thursday 21 December - 11.30am to 1.30pm 
  • Thursday 28 December - Closed 

Richmond AID 

Richmond AID offer surplus food including fruit and vegetables, tinned goods, cereals, toiletries and bread at their stall outside their offices in Teddington. The service is free for Richmond AID clients with no referrals necessary.

Christmas opening hours: 

  • Wednesday 27 December - Closed 
  • Wednesday 3 January - 10.30 to 11.30am
