A flood alert is in place today for our local stretch of the Thames.

The Flood Warning Information Service have forecast flooding of low-lying roads and footpaths throughout today.

Flooding of properties is not however expected but a number of popular South West London locations are expected to experience floods.

This includes the footpath below Teddington Lock.

Other areas expected to be affected include the embankment at Twickenham and Putney Embankment.
