We are blessed to have such a bustling high street here in Teddington.

It is full of wonderful cafes, pubs, bars, restaurants - many of which we have featured.

Teddington is more than just a high street however so today we thought we'd feature five of our favourites.

1. Café Verde - Kingston Road

An artisan café on Kingston Road, Cafe Verde is a great spot for a coffee or a bite to eat.

Plus their TripAdvisor reviews are glowing.

One said: "Cafe Verde has amazing service and the atmosphere is so friendly, as soon as you walk into this shop you feel welcome."

2. IL Preferito - Kingston Road

Another Kingston Road restaurant IL Preferito has some great Italian food on offer.

Don't just take our word for it here is what their customers describe it as a restaurant with lovely service and amazing food.

3. The Railway - Station Road

Right next to Teddington Station The Railway is a great local pub.

A family run pub you can get brunch, lunch and dinner there every day of the week.

Plus they have a big fireplace to warm you up on the oncoming cold winters nights.

4.Sidra - Church Road

If you've not tried Lebanese food before then you've been missing out.

Sidra provides some brilliant Lebanese food at great prices.

Plus what better seal of approval is there than winning the hotly contested Teddington World Cup of Hospitality!

5. The Wharf - Manor Road

If you want some fine dinning by the river then look no further than The Wharf.

Here's how they describe themselves: "Idyllically set on the riverbank at Teddington Lock, The Wharf Restaurant offers diners a picturesque and relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle of London living.

"Offering an eclectic mix of modern British and European cuisine with some vibrant Asian influences. From traditional favourites such as Beer Battered Fish and Chips and a variety of 30 day aged steaks that will make your mouth water, to more adventurous fare such as Tuna tataki, wasabi, ponzu lime, or Roasted rump of marinated lamb, pea purée, grilled baby gem, capers & anchovy dressing.

"All freshly cooked and with a strong emphasis on both locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, The Wharf is a culinary delight waiting to be discovered."

So remember to support all these great venues off the high street as well as those on it!
