The England Rugby Team will be based right here in Teddington over the winter.

The senior men's team have chosen The Lensbury as a training base during their upcoming series of games, including the conclusion of the Guinness Six Nations following the suspension of the tournament due to Coronavirus earlier this year.

The team will use The Lensbury hotel, conference centre and rugby pitches exclusively as its team base throughout October and November, departing on 7th December.

The Lensbury located on Broom Road by the river is a hotel and fitness club with a great reputation.

The Lensbury said in an official statement: "We are delighted to be the venue of choice for the England team at what is still a very challenging time for The Lensbury and the hotel and events industry as a whole.

"In the build-up to and over the next couple of months there will be a few changes to the club and how you access our facilities, further details of which we will share in our next update ahead of the arrival of the team in October.

"Please be assured that your membership at the club will continue as normal and your access to our fitness facilities, classes, Lounge Restaurant and our gardens will be unaffected during this time.

"We hope you will join us in welcoming the England team to The Lensbury and supporting them on their eagerly awaited return to competitive International rugby."
