By-elections will take place in Teddington and Hampton North wards on 18 January 2024.

The news follows the deaths of dedicated councillors Martin Elengorn (79) of Teddington Ward, and Geoffrey Samuel (92) of Hampton North Ward.

Cllr Elengorn served the Lib Dems alongside Cllr Charlie Engel and Cllr Phil Giesler.

While Cllr Samuel served the Conservative party, he worked on his ward with Lib Dem Cllr Elizabeth Gant and Jeremy Davis.

Each ward will elect one counillor and both will serve until May 2026.

If you are eligible to vote in these elections, you will receive a poll card in December 2023 with details of how and where to vote. Please read your poll card carefully as your polling station may have changed.

Richmond Council has issued a reminder that voters will be required to show photo ID when voting at a polling station.

You can find guidance on this here.
