Teddington Cheese is open for business and preparing for an Easter boom.
The small shop in Station Road, Teddington is serving one customer at a time, ensuring there is the required 2 metre distance from staff and only taking cards, NOT cash.
Local deliveries within two miles of both shops, Teddington Cheese and Richmond Cheese is free with a cut off at midday on Thursday but any orders for shipping must be received by midday on Wednesday.
"There is massive demand for cheese for Easter and we're struggling to keep up but we are confident we will fulfil our orders and would like to thank all our customers for their loyalty and support at this very difficult time," said a spokesperson.
In a statement the shop said: "In the light of these difficult times, we wanted to update our customers on the actions we have taken for the protection of our customers and staff, whilst seeking to maintain supply as far as possible. With immediate effect, the following will apply:
"Both shops remain open as usual, but we are requesting that no more than one customer is in the shop at any one time and that you remain the required distance from our staff. We will only be able take cards and not cash
"For customers who are unable to come to the shop in person, we are offering FREE local delivery within a two mile radius of the shops. Simply order online, select the collect in store option, so no delivery charges are added, and then put 'local delivery' in the instruction box.
"Unfortunately, we have had to cancel all cheese masterclasses until further notice. We will be contacting people directly who have bookings over the next 6 weeks. We'd like to thank all our customers for their continued support."
