Residents will gather this Saturday for a litterpick ahead of the Teddington Remembrance Sunday service at the town's War Memorial.

Orgainised by the Teddington Society - a local organisation working to preserve and enhance the quality of life for people living and working in Teddington - volunteers able to take part in the litterpick are encouraged to meet outside Teddington Hospital on Saturday, November 12 at 10am.

Teddington's High Street will be closed from the junction of Broad Street to Ferry Road from approximately 10.25 am - 11.35am to cater for Sunday's service, which will begin at the Teddington Memorial Hospital from 10am on November 13.

Residents are invited to join their local commemoration of British and Commonwealth soldiers, sailors, airmen and women as well as the members of the emergency services and civilians to ensure that no-one is forgotten.

Most events will consist of a parade of Armed Forces veterans, civic dignitaries and religious officials followed by a service and two-minute silence at 11am.

Cllr Charlie Engel will be in attendance for Sunday's service.
