A popular high street cafe has teamed up with Teddington Rugby Club to help raise money over the Six Nations period.

Cafe Benedict, which is still open for takeaway, is helping Teddington Rugby Club raise funds.

The club are known as Antlers to many.

The lockdown has outlawed any amateur sport taking place.

It is hoped that on March 8th when schools are scheduled to go back some amateur sport will once again be allowed.

The Six Nations run between February 6th and March 20th with games in Twickenham taking place with no fans in the stadium.

Ben Phillips from Cafe Benedict told Nub News:

"We planned to do a six nations celebration for the course of the champs and one of our managers, has a child at the club.

"We have dressed up the restaurant / window with loads of rugby stuff from Antlers and six nation flags etc.

"Antlers have been super generous and we are in return trying to raise some money from customers for when the club can open again.

"The response has been fantastic so far and we raised lots already."

You can donate to the club outside the cafe.

Hopefully we can see both Cafe Benedict and Teddington Rugby soon.

In the meantime make sure you swing by the cafe and donate
