Teddington charity Park Lane Stables RDA had a brush with royalty this week as they attended an awards ceremony in London.

Co-founder Natalie O'Rourke and her daughter Alice were snapped chatting to HRH The Duke of Cambridge at the Sun's Who Cares Wins awards on Tuesday (14 September).

Prince William dropped by their table at the star-studded event where the charity was nominated in the Best Health Charity category.

Natalie and Alice told the Duke all about their efforts to cheer everyone up during the COVID pandemic.

As well as discussing the awards, Natalie also took the opportunity to talk about her beloved Brentford football club, now that club is in the Premier League alongside William's club, Aston Villa.

Natalie's son Woody made national news last month when he was pictured celebrating with Brentford manager Thomas Frank.

"I thought my Brentford FC family would like to see me discussing the might Bees with Aston Villa's most famous fan," she tweeted.

"I told him how lucky he was to have Ollie Watkins and not to underestimate us.

"Lovely, lovely man, told u Villa fans were nice."

The full awards ceremony, presented by Davina McCall, can be seen on Channel 4 at 7.30pm on Sunday night.
