Bushy Park has announced that the Pheasantry Cafe is set to close its doors from next week so refurbishment can take place, which is expected to last until late April.

The cafe located in the Woodland Gardens is a staple for Bushy Park goers looking for a coffee top-up, slice of cake, or a hot or cold snack during their visit to the royal park.

However, from Monday 30 January, visitors will have to make do without the popular cafe as it closes its doors for refurbishment.

Bushy Park has announced that a temporary unit will be set up close by during the cafe's closure.

A statement from the park read: "The Pheasantry Cafe is closing for refurbishment on 30th January 2023 until late April, we apologise for any inconvenience. A reduced catering offer will be available from a temporary unit near the café building, providing hot food and drinks, baked items and snacks. We look forward to welcoming you back to the café in the spring."

For those visiting Bushy Park before the temporary closure of the Pheasantry Cafe next Monday, it can be visited from 9am - 5pm, Monday through to Sunday.

It has also been announced that White Lining works are to be carried out this week across certain areas of the park, expected to last until Sunday, weather permitting.

The areas affected are:

  • Lime Avenue
  • Chestnut Avenue
  • Diana Car Park
  • Hampton Court Gate
  • Playground toilets parking bays
  • Pheasantry car park
