Bushy Park car parks being closed at weekends is only a temporary measure.

The news comes as the Park announced that initially they were only going to reopen the car parks on weekdays.

This led to a lot of local residents expressing concerns over nearby roads being full of parked cars.

However head of transport and access Mat Bonomi has reassured local residents that the measures are temporary.

It is more difficult to safely open the car park on weekends hence the current restrictions.

All catering kiosks are however now open as well as the toilet facilities located by The Playground and at The Pheasantry Café are open every day from 12:00 – 19:00.

Playgrounds are due to open imminently as well.
