A car park in Bushy Park will shut this Bank Holiday Monday to provide parking spaces for film crew on an upcoming Netflix drama.

Upper Lodge Car Park, located near the Woodland Gardens and Teddington Cricket Club, will be shut to facilitate the filming of the drama which is mainly taking place in Hampton Court and the surrounding area, a spokesperson for the Royal Parks said.

The car park will also be 'partially closed' on the 29 and 30 of May and Saturday 5 June.

Other car parks in Bushy Park will still be open to members of the public, including those at the Pheasantry and the Diana Fountain. Clapperstile car park is also open to blue badge holders every day including weekends.

On its website the Royal Parks said: "Due to filming, Upper Lodge Car Park will be partially closed on the 29th, 30th May & Saturday 5th June, with a full closure on 31st May."

Asked what the filming is for, a spokesperson for the Parks told Nub News it is "a new upcoming TV Drama that will be available on Netflix."

"They are mainly filming in Hampton Court Palace and surrounding locations which is why the Royal Parks are facilitating parking," they added.

There are currently rumours that Netflix smash hit Bridgerton is using Hampton Court Palace to film its second season, as large film crews have been spotted there over the past fortnight.
