A man is due to appear in court today – Monday – after being charged in connection with a series of drug-enabled burglaries.

Brandon Conrado-Gamboa, aged 29, a Colombian national, was arrested on Thursday, February at Gatwick Airport on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

The charge relates to a drug-enabled burglary committed in Hampton on New Year's Day. Conrado-Gamboa, who has been held in custody, is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court.

Police have been appealing for information about a series of burglaries involving men who were targeted via the Grindr app and then drugged.

Four victims have been identified in Hampton, Brentford, Hounslow and Brompton, however it is thought there may be others.

A spokesman said: "There have been four reported burglaries in which the suspects are believed to have administered a noxious substance in order to commit thefts in Brentford, Hampton, Hounslow and Bromley.

"The victims - four men aged between 32 and 55 - were rendered unconscious by the substance and woke up to find several of their personal belongings missing.

"Each victim suffered no lasting effects and all are engaging with officers to support the investigation. Working together or, on occasion, separately, the two suspects identified their victims on Grindr."

The incidents are reported to have taken place between New Year's Eve and Monday, January 9.

The spokesman added: "The investigation is ongoing. If you have been a victim or have information that may help the investigation, please call 101 and reference Operation Cavendish."

Last month the police described the suspects as one black male of large build and the second as a slimmer, tanned white male, both speaking Spanish.

Detective Superintendent Dan O'Sullivan said: "We believe other victims may have been targeted between the New Year period and the January 9, however for personal reasons may not have wanted to report it. If you have been a victim, you can report in confidence to us or speak to an officer from the LGBTQ+ community."
