The body of a woman was discovered in the River Thames near the Butler's Wharf Pier at around 10.30am on 9 December.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade attended and recovered the body from the water.

She has been identified and her family has been informed.

Her death is being treated as unexpected, but while the circumstances will be investigated, there is nothing to indicate it is suspicious.
