BBC presenter Paul Martin is known for his antiques expertise, including his long stint as the host of popular show Flog It!

But two weeks ago Martin , 62 was excavating his own past on a 'tour down memory lane' in Teddington!

The Make Me A Dealer presenter spent a Sunday 13 June here to support his son Dylan Martin, as the latter took part in the Royal Canoe Club half-marathon on the Thames.

In a Twitter post the presenter wrote: "Sunday was a day spend (sic) back in Teddington, where I was born & taking Dylan on a tour down memory lane.

"And had a fab time being support crew for him @royalcanoeclub marathon.

"What an event! Tho my Dad was more accustomed to rowing on the Thames! #britishcanoeing #sundayvibes"

Martin then told Nub News that he had "lots of happy memories," here.

"Even drove past my old house and what was my old school," he said.

"We lived in Hurst Park Estate and went to the school there (but where it was is not a school anymore!)"

We're glad to see Martin enjoyed his visit to Teddington and look forward to his return!

After all, Teddington does have its own auction house ...
