An Aston Martin worth 250k was wrecked at Hampton Court Golf Course on Monday (25 May) with the windows smashed and the word "Cheater" spray painted across its bonnet.

A man was filmed casually leaving the scene in a pair of shorts and strolling towards a local river.

Witnesses claim they saw him pull a hammer from his rucksack before shattering the windows and lights and tearing the roof open of the luxury convertible.

Photos taken in the aftermath show the vehicle's windows have been decimated, with white paint stretching across the bonnet.

Police immediately declared the car a 'write off' after arriving within minutes of the incident before interviewing witnesses and the owner, who had been walking his two terrier dogs.

Investigations remain ongoing and forensics have attended the scene to look for evidence.

The Metropolitan Police said it searched the area but were "unable to locate the suspect".

A Met spokesperson told Nub News: "Police were called at around 14:00hrs on Monday, 25 May to reports of criminal damage to a vehicle at a sports club in Dillon Close, Molesey.

"Officers attended and searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

"No arrests have been made, and enquiries continue."
