Buttercups Nursery Teddington has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted at its recent inspection – one of only two nurseries to hold this accolade in the area. It has also been voted one of the Top 20 Nurseries in London for the second year running by Daynurseries.co.uk, showing just how popular it is with parents.

Nursery Head, Sam Sakhi, believes that this success is due to the hard-working and caring team coupled with Buttercups' philosophy of child-led learning, "I am so proud of all the team here at Buttercups Teddington, their dedication to the education and care of the children is exemplary. Our Montessori approach allows children to take the lead, deciding what they want to explore and learn. It is incredible to watch the effects of this as the children grow."

Over the last couple of years, the nursery has also grown, creating spaces for a dedicated Art Room, a Dance Studio and its very own Soft Play Room. In Wizard House, the preschool children enjoy a dedicated Montessori Hall that has been specifically designed to meet the needs of young wizards, with everything at their height, separate areas for different activities and flooded with natural light. 

Buttercups Teddington is an accredited Montessori Centre by Monstessori Global Education and this ethos is built into all age groups. Starting in the baby room, Montessori methods engender independence and confidence. One parent said, "Our experience with Buttercups Nursery in Teddington has been nothing short of transformative…. The way they integrate Montessori principles into the daily routine fosters independence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning."

The Ofsted inspection report made specific mention of how much Buttercups means to the parents: "Parents are full of praise for this setting. Daily emails with information about weekly activity plans with ideas and tips for parents to support learning at home are welcomed by parents as they are fully involved and knowledgeable about their child's learning." The nursery also enjoys a huge garden, giving the children plenty of time outdoors.
