The Prime Minister has today announced a new national curfew to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Pubs and indeed all hospitality venues across England will have to close at 10pm.

It is hoped that this will curb transmission of cases amongst people socialising.

So how do pubs in Teddington feel about the new measures?

We spoke to Ben from popular riverside pub The Anglers.

He said: "All we can do is follow the advice to keep customers and staff safe.

"We are lucky that we have so much outside space here but I am sure that this will not be good for the industry as a whole, particularly the ones which have already been heavily affected."

These new measures could be in place for six months, Boris Johnson announced in Parliament earlier today.

Further measures may have to be put in place if cases do not decrease.
