Community events in Teddington that have been planned for this year are under threat as key sponsors have pulled out.

End of summer celebration Proms Not In The Park, planned to take place in September, and the annual Christmas event Teddington Lights Up are both under threat.

Event organisers Teddington Together issued an appeal for sponsors on social media last week.

In a Twitter post they wrote: "Our usual sponsors have all pulled out. Does anyone have any ideas at all?

"Without these we have no hope of either event taking place."

They added in a response to a comment that the usual sponsors had pulled out after being affected by lockdown.

Anyone interested in sponsoring the events should contact the society on [email protected] or call 07738 933232
