Sports, gyms and swimming pools in Teddington to close, council announces

By The Editor 5th Nov 2021

All council-run sports and fitness facilities in Teddington will close later this week for the 27-day lockdown.

"In line with further Covid-19 restrictions announced by the government, from November 5 until December 2, all of the council's sports, fitness centres and swimming pools will be closed.

"As a result, all direct debit payments made in November, will be credited for the month of December and all annual memberships will be extended by one month.

"For all pay as you go bookings, credit notes will be issued for revised dates once the restrictions have been lifted and the service has reopened to the public."

An update was also sent to Play Tennis Richmond members today (Tuesday, November 3).

"Any bookings already in the system for Thursday onwards will not be able to take place.

"We intend to suspend your membership for the period of closure and will reactivate it once the courts reopen.

"Please keep an eye on the Play Tennis Richmond website and be reassured that If there is any change to the Government guidance we will be back in touch."
