The community group SporTedd is delighted to announce its latest round of financial grants for local projects around Teddington, taking the group's total donations to over £30,000.

The Friends of Murray Park have been given a total of £2500 towards the setting up a Junior Park Run and £750 has been given to Teddington RFC for kit and other equipment for mini-rugby.

Walbrook Teddington Rowing Club has been awarded £1000 to fund a new storage facility for the oars of their junior rowers and £1160 has been granted to Teddington Swimming Club to fund deep water and pool rescue training of their coaches and extra kit.

James Johnson of SporTedd's fund distribution committee said: "We are delighted to be able to make such a difference to these local groups especially when funding is so difficult and even these small amounts can be so important locally."

SporTedd hopes to resume its fund-raising activities with a pre-Olympics preview dinner, auction and raffle at The Wharf. Details will be announced next month.
