Park Lane Stables Teddington have launched a new initiative to help in their fight for survival.

With the landlord planning to sell the site in May the stables need to raise one million pounds to buy the land.

Here is their latest fundraising scheme:

"We're fighting for our future as one of London's few remaining urban stables, and to continue our work as a thriving Riding for the Disabled centre.

"You can now become a 'bricks and mortar' sponsor when you pledge £100 and claim a brick to bear your initials.

"There are 1507 available, adding up to a whopping £150,700 which could be raised to help us buy the building and secure our future.

"By sponsoring a brick you will 'become a lifelong part of the fabric of the building, that will never be forgotten', adding yet another page to the long history of the stables in the heart of Teddington.

"It's now or never to help save this local community asset loved by so many.

"If you would like to sponsor a brick (or two!), or find out more about the campaign, head to our Crowdfunder page."

Already the Stables have raised nearly £250,000.
