Welcome message from the Refill Larder, High Street, Teddington

Hello, I run the Refill Larder on Teddington High Street and would love to get a mention on your new news page! .

We've been delivering and offering click and collect www.refill-Larder.co.uk throughout the lockdown and this Friday and Saturday were our first days with customers back in the shop!

We've had a really loyal core of customers ordering each week from us for flour, pasta, organic nuts, chocolate etc plus olive oil, cleaning products and bathrooms liquid refills.

The Refill Larder first opened on the high street in Sept 2018 and our aim is to reduce packaging so normally people come to the store with their own containers.

During lockdown we are selling by weight in paper bags that we pack.

We are open online all week for click and collect and deliveries and then people can come into the store in person on Fri and Sat 10-5:30pm next week.

We've been supplying a huge amount of flour and yeast during lockdown for people to make their own bread and birthday cakes and also delivering to elderly and vulnerable people with no contact deliveries.

Launched in September 2018, we were motivated to open the Refill Larder by the lack of plastic-free options available for day-to-day household items and food in the local supermarkets.

We believe there is an appetite for change and since opening we've met many people locally that are fed up with the limited options available to cut back on plastic reliance.

We need to do more than ban plastic straws and bags and show supermarkets that consumers are keen for more plastic-free options. We want the Refill Larder to ignite conversations about alternative ways to shop and ways to cut back on plastic on a day-to-day basis.
