There has been some good news for Park Lane Stables today.

They have been give Asset of Community Value (ACV) status by Richmond Council.

The application was filed by The Teddington Society.

An ACV is described as: "Land of importance to a local community."

This provides additional legal protection from development.

The Stables current landlord was planning to sell off the stables - meaning the staff had to raise the money for them to remain there.

Given the amount needed is £1 million it would not be an easy feat.

However the kindness and generosity of the people of Teddington has shone through with an incredible £122,000 already raised.
