Does your local sports organisation in the Richmond Borough need a financial leg-up in these challenging times?

The Teddington-based community group SporTedd may be able to help.

We've already given donated over £20.000 locally to help to buy much-needed kit and equipment for schools and charities with a sports theme.

SporTedd was set up over two years ago by a group of local business men and women with the aim of supporting the local community and sports activities.

Money is raised through an annual subscription and special dinner events at local venues with well-known guest speakers which have included Lord (Sebastian) Coe, Sir Clive Woodward, the CEO of the England and Wales Cricket Board, Tom Harrison, round the world record-breaking sailor Tracey Edwards, Olympic skier Chemmy Alcott, former Manchester United and Chelsea CEO, Peter Kenyon, the commercial director of the Wimbledon Championships Mick Desmond, top international rugby referee, Wayne Barnes, the CEO of the RFU, Bill Sweeney and England rugby legend Jason Leonard.

Funds have also been raised through auctions and raffles with great prizes and items.

If you would like to learn more about SporTedd with a view to joining or you would like to explore the possibility of financial support please go to www.sportedd.co.uk
