A single Covid-19 case has been reported at Teddington School.

In a message sent to all parents the school said:

"We have been advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school.

"We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.

"The small number of children who have been in direct prolonged contact with the confirmed case will have received a letter and will be staying at home for 14 days."

The school is located on Broom Road and has around 1350 pupils aged between 11 and 18.

This is the first case reported at the school since it reopened earlier this month.

Last week Richmond Council warned parents not to gather at school gates without wearing a face mask.
