Teddington's riverside restaurant The Wharf and its generous customers have raised over £800 for the local football club Hearts of Teddlothian FC through its unique fund-raising partnership with the Richmond community lottery, Get Lucky Local, it was announced yesterday (7 June).

The lottery and the popular restaurant joined forces to launch a new initiative by inviting customers to add £1 to their restaurant bill and the Wharf agreed to match the sum to purchase 1056 lottery tickets for the big lottery draw last Saturday.

The partnership – the first of its kind - produced 22 winners including one £250 and two £25 cash winners and nineteen winners picked up THREE free tickets for next week's draw where they could win even more for Hearts of Teddlothian. All the proceeds go to the club.

Roger Chidwick, Vice Chairman of Hearts Of Teddlothian said: "This is absolutely amazing.

"On behalf of Hearts, I really want to thank you and all at the Wharf for your kind generosity and for supporting our club."
