Last week we brought you the sad news of a dead seal being found near Teddington Lock.

You can revisit that story HERE

Well unfortunately another dead seal was found over the weekend.

Cedric Marx found the seal and described the scene.

He said: "This evening around 7pm while walking on the Thames path from Teddington Lock towards Richmond Bridge I came across the body of what appears to be a dead seal pup.

"I took a number pictures from different point of views so it could help understanding what may have happened.

"The body, under a large tree branch, was about 5 meters away from the path and around 25 meters away from the river bank; 200m after Teddington Obelisk and 30 meters before the entrance path to Ham Land South."

Seals can often be found in the Thames from all the way at the estuary in the east to as far west as Thames Ditton.
