Adorable reindeer are coming to Teddington town

TWO adorable reindeer will be making a magical pre-Christmas detour to Teddington for the big Lights Up celebration this Thursday.

The pair, named 'Prancer' and 'Dancer' will be at Hamptons Estate Agents on the High Street and children can come to pet and feed them and take a few selfies (or 'elfies') if they wish!

Because it's that time of year, Santa's busy sleigh-carriers will be allowed a special treat and can eat carrots as well as their normal reindeer food.

Prancer and Dancer are travelling all the way from Kent where reindeer have been bred for the last twenty years.

They will be held safely in a small pen and accompanied by a couple of specially-trained handlers responsible for animal welfare. Hand-sanitising and hand-washing facilities will be available on site.

As well as a close encounter with Santa's helpers, Hamptons Estate Agents, which has supported the Lights Up celebrations in the past, is providing free mulled wine and popcorn to adults and helping to raise money for Cancer Research.
