What you'll bring

• Deep extensive experience of Android application development
• Established and highly skilled in all aspects of software engineering
• Strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin
• Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns and best practices
• Experience with video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH)
• Familiarity with ExoPlayer (bonus)
• Agile development experience with CI/CD pipelines

Team Overview As a Senior Android Engineer on the Android Viper Player team, you will help build and maintain client-side libraries that power video playback for millions of users across Comcast, Sky, and our global partners. These native SDKs are embedded in apps like Xfinity TV, Contour2, FreeRange TV, delivering Live, OnDemand, and Recorded content with high performance and reliability. You'll contribute to the development of a robust video player that integrates with streaming services, DRM, advertising, emergency alerts, and real-time analytics.
