AV Onsite Support Technician Salary: 40,000 to 50,000 per annum Richmond, Hounslow, Feltham, and Twickenham

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Onsite Support Technician to join our client, providing high-quality technical support for their audio-visual systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and highly organised individual to take ownership of a varied role, delivering both preventative and reactive AV support in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will act as the primary onsite AV contact, responsible for ensuring systems are fully operational and maintained to the highest standard. This will include scheduled maintenance, incident management, matchday support, and providing hands-on technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main AV contact for the client.
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance checks and produce detailed documentation.
  • Perform pre-event checks and provide comprehensive reports.
  • Deliver onsite matchday support, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Log and manage all incidents through the client's management platform.
  • Maintain site asset inventory.
  • Complete Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) annually.
  • Provide incident reports to all stakeholders, ensuring clear communication throughout.
  • Support with commissioning AV integrated solutions.
  • Assist with deinstallation and reinstallation of AV equipment.
  • Carry out technical site surveys.
  • Provide customer training on AV system operation.
  • Offer reactive AV support at the client's training ground when required.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge of AV systems.
  • Understanding of networking principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of AV control systems and audio DSPs.
  • Hands-on experience with Crestron, Extron, and AMX systems.
  • Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Avixa CTS certification.
