The Co-op Local Community fund has helped thousands of organisations up and down the country.

TAG Youth Club in Ham have definitely felt the benefit of this fund. They are a youth club for people with disabilities between the ages of eight and 25. Everyone is welcome and they provide opportunities to experience and participate in arts, drama, music and sports.

The latest fund payout is gratefully received by the club.

In our interview with the cause, Lead Youth Worker Giles, told us how the Co-op funding has meant that the group are able to do an even wider range of activities such as skiing and parkour: "The Co-op have been really important for us," he said.

"Their funding has allowed us to get the children doing lots of new activities. These include things like parkour - something that the children love doing."

How does payout work?

When Co-op membersbuy selected Co-op branded products and services,2p for every pound spent is split between community organisations and local causes.

And it soon adds up, because these members have helped raise £15 million for 4,500 causes this year.

From supporting projects that improve access to food and mental wellbeing, to education and employment opportunities for young people, the Local Community Fund has never been so vital.

TAG are just one great example of a community group that have been helped by the fund.
