From choirs and comedy, to classical music, creativity and chocolate workshops, Teddington's beating heart of arts and culture, the Landmark Arts Centre, has a thrilling March programme for residents across the borough and beyond to get involved in.

The Landmark has played host to the Surrey Sculpture Society's annual showcase for the past week, with a remarkable range of indoor sculptures to admire. As well as the art on display, there has also been a series of 'Have a Go with Clay' workshops, and with the showcase open until March 5th, there is still plenty of time for guests to get involved.

Visitors are currently being welcomes from 10am - 5pm and are encouraged to take part in the range of sculpture workshops taking place throughout this coming weekend.

The critically acclaimed Mark Steel takes to the stage with An Evening and a Little Bit of Morning March 9th. The Have I Got News For You, QI and BBCR4's News Quiz regular has been named newspaper columnist of the year and is author of the award-winning audiobook Who Do I Think I Am.

Thames Philharmonia present their Spring Concert '23 on Saturday, March 11th. In an evening that promises classical music of the finest quality, Thames Philharmonia will be performing: Mozart - The Magic Flute Overture, Mendelssohn - Violin Concerto in E Minor (Soloist Hee-Jin Kwon) and Symphony No.5 (Reformation) and Byung-Yun Yu - A Beautiful Country.

The Landmark will also welcome back violin soloist Hee-Jin Kwon following her performance of the Sibelius violin concerto back on 2018.

Staying within the music theme, the Landmark Festival of Choirs will take place the following day (March 12) which will involve the centre's three resident choirs; Landmark Singers, Landmark Sound and Mansong.

The trio are set to join forces with two invited choirs for an evening that promises  a wide variety of music encompassing traditional folk songs, world music, jazz and pop.

Enigmatic, mysterious and sub textural, songwriter Leonard Cohen was an unflinching character, with an exact sense of prose, wry humour and the courage to wrestle with the unspoken, forgiving human frailty and indulgence with the stroke of each word.

The chilling announcement of Leonard's death marked the end of an era. His music befriended an entire generation. Within every line of his writing, he challenged audiences to listen more carefully, speak more thoughtfully, think more deeply and recognise our own vulnerability.

With a lifetime reputation of performing in this exact way and an undying love of the 'pure song', Keith James presents Keith James in concert – The Songs of Leonard Cohen March 23rd.

The concert will pay testament  Cohen's amazing material in the most intimate and sensitive way imaginable, exposing the solitary inner strength of his greatest songs in their original perfect form. Seen in theatres and arts centres across the UK, giving over 550 concerts to more than 150,000 people, it promises to be an evening to remember.

A host of exciting workshops will also be on offer throughout March including the Landmark's ongoing #PARTICIPATE project. March 11 presents Music Building, which will explore the visual and sound work of modern composers open to all young people from seven and on, with no musical knowledge required.

Fan of chocolate? Silly question - who isn't, right?! The Landmark presents Chocolarty - Chocolate Crafting workshop March 31st. A thrilling opportunity to be taken through the methods and secrets you need to whip up a well of chocolate treats with ease.

Each guest will take away an abundance of chocolate treats to wow friends and family with their new skills...assuming you can resist them until you get home.

And finally, the Landmark Arts Centre is launching a new biennial printmaking festival that will champion the art of hand-printmaking, artists' books and papermaking. The inaugural fair will be running over the weekend of 17-19 March, and will include a whole programme of talks, workshops and demonstrations alongside special exhibits and over 50 stands of artists selling their work directly to visitors.

The Richmond borough has a wealth of printmaking history and many print and book artists who have exhibited with the Landmark in the past. The Arts Centre intends on building on the decorated history with a vibrant new event that will encourage visitors to learn more about the difference between hand-printmaking and digital prints, to discover what book art really is, and dive into the pulp of hand papermaking!
