It is being widely reported that London will be moving to a Tier Two Lockdown this weekend.

This means that households will be banned from mixing indoors.

The new rules will take hold from midnight on Friday.

Care Minister Helen Whately told London MPs in a briefing this morning of the capital's change in alert level.

The change comes as Mayor Sadiq Khan has asked for more support for businesses as new restrictions take hold.

We will bring you more news as we get it.
