Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Outstanding SEND School, Kingston

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a well-established Special Needs School in Kingston, supporting pupils aged 4-19 with a range of severe and complex learning disabilities.

This outstanding school provides a warm, inclusive environment where every pupil is valued and supported to reach their potential through personalised, creative learning. You'll work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote communication, independence, and wellbeing.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with tailored learning activities

  • Assisting with sensory and therapeutic interventions

  • Helping pupils develop communication and life skills

  • Creating a calm, nurturing environment that encourages engagement

You'll need:

  • Experience supporting pupils with complex or severe learning needs

  • A patient, caring and proactive approach

  • Confidence supporting personal care or medical needs (training provided)

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
